Wedding-Cake Toppers for Goran & Charmie (March 2005)

My brother Goran got married to Charmaigne on 24th March 2005. I was pleased because she is such a sweetie and a big sci-fi geek, like me. I was in charge of the wedding cake, so I custom-made some action figures of them in their karate suits.

They met at karate, where they are both black-belts. They have both successfully completed the 30-man-kumite, which is where one person has to fight 30 for one minute each. Ouch!

Parts & Sculpting

March 2005. Thanks to McFarlane, DC Direct, ToyBiz, MAC & Art Asylum for the parts.

For Charmie, I used a Dark Angel head on a Faith body. I reduced the size of the head and her chin and sculpted the little plaits. I sanded down her shoes and wrist band. I sculpted the karate suit, belt and her bare feet. I glued her right hand into a fist.

For Goran, I used a Lex Luthor head and Agent Smith body. I removed the domed head and sculpted his hair, narrowed the nose and added a chin dimple. I removed the jacket, sanded the shirt, then sculpted the chest, forearms and karate suit. I widened the trousers and smoothed hair from the hobbit feet! ;o)

Finished Figures

I completely repainted both figures to look like Charmaigne and Goran.

The stand came with a Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon figure. I added their names and the name of the karate club.
